Printmaking

never expected myself to enjoy printmaking as much as I do, but in 2019 while heavily pregnant I took my first printmaking class at Cabrillo College with Tobin Keller. There I learned to consider images in layers and strong lines. I also found my love of printing on fabric. Tobin taught me how to "build my machine" which is short for think through every step and have everything ready to go for when you start pulling prints. At UCSC Enrique Leal introduced me to the many processes of printmaking and the possibility of each method. While my heart belongs to screen printing for it's ease and accessibility, knowing those processes has translated to other mediums such as sand blasting an image onto glass.
